THE CRAFT

Shibori is a Japanese resist-dyeing technique where fabric is folded, tied or bound by hand before dyeing. The geometric cloud pattern on this piece is created through precise folding - time-intensive, skilled work that cannot be replicated by machine. No two shibori pieces are identical.
