SymbolismThe lining features ichimatsu, which simply means "checkered pattern" and represents an alternation of small squares. Originally, the word ichimatsu came from the name of a Japanese kabuki theater actor, Sanogawa Ichimatsu, who liked to wear costumes adorned with this simple pattern.
StylingA refined, weighty silk jacket designed with signature lapels that can be worn softly folded or left open for a more fluid silhouette. Finished with a delicate, beautifully crafted side tie that adds a subtle, considered detail.
As a vintage garment, minor imperfections may be present and are part of its history.

Dry clean recommended. Store away from direct sunlight to preserve the silk.

As each haori and kimono is one-of-a-kind, we offer returns for store credit within 7 days of delivery.
to be eligible for a return:
– item must be unworn and in original condition
– all tags must remain attached
– return shipping is the responsibility of the customeronce received and approved, you will be issued store credit to use on a future piece.
Please note: all garments are vintage and may show subtle signs of age.
