Showa Era - Vintage - Three Ways to Wear

THE MEANING

Michiyuki means journey - worn when setting out into something new. The fan (ogi) pattern represents good luck and expanding possibility - fans open outward, a symbol of a bright future ahead.

THE PATTERN

Charcoal grey with a woven geometric fan pattern in lighter grey, connected by fine lines with gold accent points at each intersection. Open it and a blush pink lining appears - a soft floral print, entirely unexpected against the graphic exterior.

One size. Fits Australian sizes 6-14. The michiyuki has more structure than a haori - defined shape when buttoned, drapes freely when open.

- Over all black - the pattern and gold detail carry everything

- Open as a jacket, the blush lining visible at the hem - Buttoned as a dress with simple heels
