Era

Late Showa period

Textile / technique

Crafted using shibori, a traditional Japanese resist-dyeing technique where the fabric is meticulously bound, folded, or stitched before dyeing. This piece features a fine, all-over shibori pattern, requiring exceptional skill and time to achieve such uniformity.

Styling
Wear open over denim and a simple tank for an elevated everyday look, or pair with tailored trousers and silk for something more refined. The soft structure allows it to drape beautifully, while the colour adds warmth and quiet impact. For a more defined silhouette, cinch with a belt to transform it into a wrap-style jacket. A piece that moves seamlessly between casual and considered — designed to be worn your own way. The jacket would fit size 6-16 UK/AUS.

Condition
As a vintage garment, minor imperfections may be present and are part of its history.

Care
Dry clean recommended. Store away from direct sunlight to preserve the silk.
