Japan's textile patterns are amongst the most beautiful in the world. But what makes them truly special is the story they tell. Each pattern, which has been passed down over the years and is deeply meaningful. Each fabric and style is symbolic., which means there is so much more than meets the eye.
Patterns tell a story
There are endless kimono patterns, but they can loosely be divided up into the four seasons; spring, summer, autumn and winter. Here are just a few of the seasonal patterns.
